Forest fires in Sweden
In today's society, humans face many major challenges as a result of the prevailing climate change. One of these challenges is wildfires as global warming creates risky conditions that benefit these fires by making the ground and forest very dry for a longer period of time and especially during the summers. The only thing missing in such situations is that something ignites the dry areas.

MACROS is the process that has been used to create a solution to this problem. The first step was to map the problem, which was followed up by adding information, which consists of doing interviews, research, testing and techwatching / trendwatching. By gathering all the information, it helps to make the challenge more concrete. The final steps consist of a redesign that includes generations of ideas, then optimized by building prototypes and test solutions and finally showing the results of the project.
From the process, the various tools and experiments used, it was clear that the winning concept is the fine filter solution. This solution consists of a filter that is part of the grid and it will ensure that sparks from the fire do not come off and ignite the surroundings, which makes it a much safer alternative than ordinary grills. This solution can also be adapted for the grill used at home or for public areas, and with some transformation, it can also be used for campfires. This solution also contributes to sustainability to some extent by reducing the risk of fires that destroy our ecosystems and the filter is made of aluminium that can be easily recycled when it can no longer be used.
